Encouraging age-appropriate independence and giving children a chance to practice self-care skills is a very important part of growth and development. At Infanterix, we start age-appropriate independence – such as eating by themselves – at an early age. Fostering our children’s independence is not just about convenience. When we raise independent kids we show them that we believe in them. Therefore, we encourage the little ones to self-feed as soon as he or she shows an interest. Even though self-feeding opens a whole new door to “messville” for our educators, we strongly believe that the joy and excitement of this big milestone, is worth all the cleaning effort involved.
