Homemade Snow

What do you do when you’re longing for snow, but it just won’t fall? Of course, just make it yourself! The teachers at SieKids Kleine Wittelsbacher worked with the children to make their own snow out of caustic soda and shaving foam. During this exciting experiment, the children can witness how the shaving foam changes when it interacts with the sodium bicarbonate and, by adding more or less sodium bicarbonate, they can make snow that is either sticky or powdery. This is great for making snowballs or little snowmen.
