Fine Motor Skills

Play is crucial to the development of children’s gross and fine motor skills. Through play and everyday activities, for example by grabing, feeling, pouring and gluing, children practice and perfect control and coordination of large body movements, as well as small movements of hands and fingers. At our facility Infanterix Neuhausen I, the educators prepared a large box filled with colourful pasta for the children rummage through or fill the pasta into bowls with spoons or, like mum and dad at home, use the cooking tongs for dishing up. Such fun and a wonderful activity to promote dexterity.
