Wittelsbacherplatz

The SieKids Kleine Wittelsbacher company day-care center is in the immediate vicinity of the Siemens AG Headquarters in Munich at Wittelsbacherplatz, on the ground floor of Jägerstr. 6. As a company child-care center, the 52 day-care spots (nursery- and kindergarten) are primarily available to the children of Siemens employees.

The premises allow the implementation of a semi-open concept. This means that the children have their own group classroom, but they can also take advantage of the various activities available within the rest of the facility during the day.

Nursery

Each nursery group has an adjacent sleeping area including baby changing facilities and a cloakroom. The rooms are designed based on the individual needs of the children and are divided into age-appropriate learning, exploring and movement zones. These areas can be rearranged to meet the children’s interests and match the various stages of their development.

During the day, the sleeping room can also be used as a playroom for physical activities.

The sanitary facilities are fully equipped with changing tables, toilets and a shower or children’s bathtub.

Kindergarten

Each kindergarten group has its own classroom with adjacent child-friendly sanitary area and cloakroom. The classroom is divided into different learning zones and offers a creative- and building area, a role play area including a doll’s kitchen corner, as well as a designated science- and preschool area.

Physical Activity

The multi-purpose room is used for sports activities and is accessible to the children as part of the semi-open concept during the day. The room is also the ideal place for events and celebrations as well as for parents’ evenings.

Outdoor Area

The garden offers ample opportunity for movement as well as a variety of equipment, such as spring rocking animals, a sandpit with a large play castle for kindergarten children, a net swing, a swing and a smaller play castle for the toddlers.

As the interaction with the environment is a vital part of their everyday lives, the children have access to a raised bed in which they can sow, plant and harvest.
